Can I try it without signing up?

Is a credit card required?

Not for the Free plan, which needs no card at all. Team starts a 7-day free trial and takes a card at checkout, so cancelling before the trial ends means you are never charged. Personal is $49 a month, billed when you subscribe, Pro is $49 for your first month and $149 a month after that.

Who owns the data I create?

You do, always. Everything stays in open formats and nothing you add is locked in.
