About
We build spatial intelligence for the real world
Smart Site Plan brings professional mapping, open data, field collection, and collaboration into one workspace, so the people who shape the built and natural environment can work from the same map.
Maps drive real decisions: where to build, what to protect, how to route a crew, whether a parcel is the right one. Yet the tools for that work stayed expensive, hard to learn, and stuck on the desktop.
Smart Site Plan exists to change that. Four beliefs shape everything we ship.
What we believe
What we believe
Professional mapping belongs in the browser.
For decades the serious tools lived in desktop GIS: licensed seats, long installs, one trained operator per office. We put the whole workspace in a URL, so an estimator, an inspector, and a crew lead can open the same map and actually use it.
Public data should be one search away.
Parcels, zoning, flood zones, soils, contours, wetlands: the public record already describes almost every site in the country. It is just scattered across thousands of agency portals. Finding the authoritative layer should never be a scavenger hunt.
Field and office belong on the same map.
An emailed export drifts out of date the moment it is sent. Live location, field forms, and a clear activity trail keep the crew on site and the desk in the office working from one current source of truth.
Trust is a feature.
Encryption, strong authentication, audit logs, accessibility. None of it is an add-on, because site plans carry legal weight and professional work depends on the record being right.
The open-data thesis
The best site data is already public
FEMA flood zones. USDA soil surveys. USGS contours and elevation. County parcels and zoning. National wetlands. Public agencies publish extraordinary data, and it is free. The problem was never the data: it is that 20 million datasets sit behind thousands of portals, formats, and naming schemes. We index them into one search, keep the provenance attached, and put the authoritative layer on your map, not a copy of a copy.

Where it comes from
Built by engineers who do the work
Smart Site Plan began inside RAUCH inc., a civil engineering firm with four decades of surveying, infrastructure, and land development behind it. That origin is the product's spine: every feature answers to people who stake sites, seal drawings, and stand behind the record.
2017
First version built inside RAUCH inc. to fix the firm's own workflow
2023
Grew into Juno Maps: Maryland, Virginia, and Valencia, Spain
Today
One workspace, from the first search to the final deliverable

Dustin Rauch
Chief Executive Officer· PE, LEED AP BD+C
A Professional Engineer and LEED AP BD+C with a civil engineering degree from the University of Maryland and a background in land development. An early adopter of drones in construction, he co-created Smart Site Plan to close the gap between engineering and accessible technology.

Robert Rauch
Chief Financial Officer· PE
Four decades in civil engineering, from Maryland's youngest county engineer to directing large infrastructure programs, serving on the University System of Maryland board, and consulting for the World Bank. He keeps the company disciplined and built to last.

Sergey Mazz
Chief Technology Officer
A GIS specialist and full-stack developer who built Smart Site Plan from the ground up and leads engineering day to day, turning hard geospatial problems into tools professionals can actually use.

Casey Rauch
Chief Operating Officer· PE
President of RAUCH inc., the civil engineering firm whose team has designed more than 10,000 residential lots, engineered two million square feet of commercial space, and surveyed 200,000 acres. He keeps the platform grounded in real fieldwork.
Smart Site Plan is built by Juno Maps in partnership with RAUCH inc., a full-service civil engineering firm with forty years in civil, survey, architecture, and environmental work. Proven engineering, modern software.
