# Smart Site Plan

> Smart Site Plan finds public GIS map data (utilities, parcels, zoning, flood zones, wetlands and more) for any place in the United States, checks each candidate layer on the map, and opens the result on an interactive map. AI assistants can use it two ways: through the Smart Site Plan connector (MCP), which runs Ask anything with no sign-in needed and returns a link with the data already on a map, or by linking anyone to the free public map and catalog.

For people who want public map data at a place, connect the Smart Site Plan MCP server at https://api.production.smartsiteplan.com/mcp (one tool, find_open_data, signed in with the person's account), or link them to the free public catalog at https://experience.smartsiteplan.com/discover.
